In today's post, we will explain how to easily connect YouTube to Spotify step by step. If you are a music creator, you may need to share uploaded or even liked videos to Spotify.

One of the easiest ways to do this is on a website called IFTTT.  IFTTT allows users to automate and connect processes without needing to write a single word of code.

Register here to begin, then follow the steps in this tutorial

Step 1: connect to your YouTube channel

You need to first create an applet that is connected to your YouTube channel. 

Go to the upper right-hand corner of the website.

Click on CREATE.

Click on ADD

Enter YOUTUBE into the search bar titled ALL SERVICES.

A page will be shown with available applets and their definitions.

Select the applet that you need. In this instance, I will select 

NEW PUBLIC VIDEO UPLOADED BY YOU. This applet triggers every time you upload a new public video to YouTube.

Click on the Applet.

Click on CONNECT.

Click on the account that you want to connect to YouTube.

Give IFTTT permission to connect your YouTube account.

You will be taken back to IFTTT.

Click on CREATE TRIGGER.

Step 2: Search for applets using the keyword "Spotify"

You will then be taken back to the THEN THAT Page.

Click on ADD to select an applet.

Type SPOTIFY into the search bar at the bottom.

Select the desired applet.

Here are several applets that connect YouTube to Spotify:

- Add songs from videos you like to a Spotify playlist - created by Google.

- YouTube tracks to Spotify-liked YouTube songs will be added to your Spotify playlist - created by Google.

- Add Spotify song from liked YouTube video- this applet adds a liked YouTube video to a Spotify Playlist. It filters out special characters from the video title to get better matches with Spotify songs- created by Google.

- YouTube channel publishes song, add automatically to Spotify playlist - If a new song is published on a particular YouTube channel AND it is available on Spotify, it will add the song automatically to the playlist - created by Google.

- YouTube LIKE to Spotify  - created by Google.

Step 3: Connect the applet to Spotify

Connecting the applet to Spotify is very easy. 

Click on the tab that you choose. 

You will be taken to another page with the name of the app and a big button that says CONNECT. 

Click on CONNECT.

You will be taken over to the Spotify login page.

Login to Spotify

Agree to allow access.

You will be taken back to IFTTT and connected to Spotify and the YouTube channel on your account.

You have now connected your channel on YouTube to Spotify.

The applet will automatically add your videos to Spotify.
